The Story

Why We Built a Cricket Scorer App

Local cricket in India has always had a scoring problem. The scorer writes every ball in a paper scorebook that no one else ever sees. Someone in the team WhatsApp group types "148/4 in 14 overs" every few minutes. Parents in another city wait for a photo of the scorebook. A tournament organiser tries to maintain a points table in Google Sheets and updates it three days late.

Live Cricket Scoring was built to replace all of that. Score once from your phone; everyone else follows a live scorecard link in a browser. No app install, no login, no cost. The same workflow that works for a Sunday morning turf league in Mumbai works for an inter-school tournament in Chennai.

A local match should be easy to score, easy to share and easy to follow live.

The product focus is intentionally narrow: help cricket scorers record matches accurately and help teams share those scores instantly. Today, Live Cricket Scoring supports ball-by-ball scoring, live scorecard sharing, tournament scoring, player statistics and match broadcast workflows for local cricket communities across India.

What We Built

One Cricket Scorer App, Three Core Jobs

The homepage owns the cricket scorer app entity. This About page explains the product mission and links users to the dedicated feature pages.

Ball-by-Ball Cricket Scoring

Score every delivery with simple taps for runs, extras, wickets and over changes. The app tracks totals, strike rotation, partnerships and scorecard details without making the scorer manage calculations manually. How ball-by-ball scoring works →

Live Scorecard Sharing

Every match can be shared through a live scorecard link on WhatsApp. Spectators open the link in a browser and follow the score without installing anything. This keeps family, fans and team members connected even when they are not at the ground.

Tournament Scoring

Tournament organisers can manage fixtures, results, NRR standings and player stats from one scoring workflow instead of spreadsheets and separate WhatsApp updates. Tournament management →

What We Believe

The Product Principles Behind Live Cricket Scoring

These principles guide the app, the website structure and the way each feature is developed.

Scoring Comes First

The core entity is cricket scoring. Every feature must help scorers record a match more accurately, share it faster or make tournament reporting easier.

Simple Enough for Match Day

A scorer should not need training to start a local match. The app should stay fast, readable and practical when a match is already underway.

Built for Indian Local Cricket

Local cricket includes box, turf, gully, tape-ball, tennis-ball, colony matches, society cups, school tournaments and club leagues. The product supports flexible match rules for every format India actually plays.
